The Golden Bachelor is underway, and Gerry seems considerate and kind. Will he be able to maintain those qualities as the show progresses? I hope so, but either way, I’m in.

Survivor is back, too, and though I haven’t watched the first episode yet, the show remains a mainstay in my viewing habits. I’ve seen every episode of every season, and after all this time (since the summer of 2000), it never gets old and reinforces a theory I’ve held firm to since my thirties—life is random, and luck is more important than skill.

George Miller, the director of Mad Max: Fury Road, is awesome. So, too, is this George Miller.
