The Goodness Virus
No one knows for sure, but the virus is assumed to have started in Queens, New York, just last week. A short man held open the subway doors of a Manhattan-bound 7 train for a tall man, who, just seconds before, had called out, “Yo, hold the doors!” The tall man scampered in and fist-bumped the short man. Several people on the train smiled. Later that day, the tall man tipped the fat woman who always spreads the perfect amount of cream cheese on his everything bagel $5. Unprecedented. She was psyched. She later did something nice for someone else, and the virus kept spreading.
Please be advised: there is nothing to fear. Working together, and with great determination, the general population will - in the coming days - return expeditiously to normal levels of selfishness.
